BEDROOM

The bedroom is located in the basement.  The room has been recreated to show what a 19th century room would contain.  On the bed are multiple quilts for safekeeping.  Many will be on display in the museum July 2 2007 through July 21, 2007 during the Museum Quilt show..

This view of the room is with the bed, dresser, and trunk.  On the walls are many of the pictures that would have graced the walls then.  At the head of the bed are framed purses of the period.

This picture shows the wardrobe with some period clothes hanging inside. The baby cradle has several small quilts.  The manikins are dressed in the period as well.

The framed picture next to the lady's shoulder is of an enhanced marriage certificate. Typical of the day.
